This page is for those interested in trying out for a Select, Academy, Elite, or Premier team.

Pre-Registration

All Select, Elite, Academy, and Premier players are required to tryout for a team. For more information about the different levels of play visit our Programs page.

The tryouts are always in the middle of June so please plan your vacations accordingly. Sometimes additional tryouts will be held around December for boys teams U15 and above since they are playing for their schools in the Fall. The specific dates of the Rangers tryouts will be posted on our calendar.

The goal of a tryout is not to eliminate players but rather to place players of like ability and commitment level together on the same team and to form as many teams as our resources (I.E. coaches and fields) allow. In the Rangers SC, all players have an equal chance at trying out for a team. Being on a team during the previous season does not mean the player will be on the same team the following season.

If you have never played for a club before we strongly encourage you to begin training now.

Here are some important points to remember:

Bring your own water.
Bring your own ball.
Wear Shin Guards
Communicate during play.
Let your coaches know if you are a goalie.
Pay attention to the coach - not your friends.

EACH PLAYER MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS BY FILLING OUT THE ABOVE FORM.

If a player has played for the Rangers before and cannot attend the tryout they must still pre-register online and detail why it is they are missing the tryouts. Players who have not played for the Rangers before cannot be considered without attending a tryout. Players who miss the tryout may contact the coach of their age group but the coach is not obligated to provide them an opportunity to tryout.

NOTE: Players are NOT allowed to tryout for an older age group without first receiving permission from a Rangers coach or our Director of Coaching (DOC). We cannot guarantee a player will be considered for a team if they tryout in an older age group without permission.
